Young Chef classes now starting at age 8! 

Cooking is a life skill that should be started at a young age. Our young chef classes teach those 8 and up basic kitchen skills while explaining the science of cooking and building cooking confidence.

Our young chef Saturday classes teach age-appropriate kitchen skills ranging from reading a recipe and proper measuring techniques to knife skills and whipping egg whites.  As our young chefs learn basic preparation and cooking skills they gain confidence and independence, learn and practice basic math and science, expand their palates, build creativity and have fun!

Each session will feature one or two fundamental skills that will be explained and then practiced as the young chefs are mentored through the step by step preparation of 1 or 2 dishes that they can take home to share with family and friends.

Let your Young Chef enjoy the passions of cooking with Mrs. Dornberg! We offer two different classes — one for our 8-10 year olds and the other for those 11 and up.  We will do our best to work around any food sensitivities or allergies (please indicate at registration).

Young Chef (age 8 and up) — Saturday, September 15 — 9 to 11 am

Young Chef (age 10 and up) — Saturday, September 15 — noon to 2 pm 

Young Chef (age 12 and up), Saturday, September 15 — 3 to 5 pm

Young Chef (age 8-10), Saturday, October 20 — 9 to 11:30 pm

Young Chef (age 11 and up), Saturday, October 20 — 1 to 3:30 pm

Young Chef (age 8-10), Saturday, December 1 — 9 to 11:30 am

Young Chef (age 11 and up), Saturday, December 1 — 1 to 3:30 pm

*Please note:  We WILL NOT be holding Holiday camps this year.  Camp will return Summer 2019.
